Lunch Out at Penang Hill

Penang Hill

It was another Saturday work and Irish went back to the office to get some other stuff she left. We decided to eat out one last time at Shangri-la Plaza Mall. We decided to eat at Penang Hill at the 6th level of the mall. It is a fusion of different Asian cuisine, Thai, Malaysian, Singaporean, etc.

The place is small and is between the array of restaurants in the 6th level. The staff is accommodating and they attend to the guests needs. We quickly ordered food since we are not sure how long their serving takes.

Ai and I shared Bagoong Rice and Hainanese Chicken. Others shared a platter of several dishes, fried fish and some roasted chicken.

The Bagoong Rice is good enough for 2-3 people. It has a meat dish on the side along with the mangoes and scrambled egg. That itself is very filling but we wanted to try other dishes.

The Hainanese Chicken is served with a cup of Hainanese rice. It is good for 2-3 people. It also has a dipping sauce on the side which complements the dish very well. The chicken is very tender and the taste is yummy. Partnered with the rice, it is good. Also together with the Bagoong Rice, the dish is also good.

The following are the dishes the others ordered. I am not sure what their dishes is called so just enjoy the images.

The dishes are yummy and are a must try. They are all filling. The service is good and the staff are attentive. We liked this place and we’ll go back when ever we have an extra cash to spare.
