Irish’s Last Day Dinner at Chick-Boy

Chick-Boy

It was Irish’s last day as our office mate and she decided to treat us all for her farewell. Ai suggested we try out Chick-Boy which she read from a blog. It is located along Jupiter Street in Makati. It was a bit far from the office but The blog review was good and so we decided to try out the place.

After office, we headed to Makati. We were supposed to ride the MRT but there is a long queue on the the ticket counter. Ai, Jape and I decided to ride the bus instead while the others continued to ride the crowded MRT. We were dropped off at Buendia and from there we rode a jeepney. We got off as soon as we were near Jupiter Street. From there, we looked for the place with out having any idea where it was (Their address only indicated Jupiter Street). Fortunately, they have a really big sign that you could see from afar. We were all happy to have seen it quickly because the rain is starting to pour. We were the first to arrive there and we reserved seats for approximately 20 people who will arrive later.

Chick-Boy is short for Chicken at Baboy which is the main dishes that they serve. The place is quite big and they have areas inside as well as outside for those who smoke. Their specialty is Lechon Manok and Lechon Liempo of Cebu and Chicken Inasal of Bacolod. The meals they serve are affordable and is filling.

We ordered lots of food, Lechon Liempo, Lechon Sisig, Lechon Manok, Liempo, Pork Barbecue, Chicken Inasal, Sinigang na Baboy and Ensaladang Mangga. We had overflowing bottomless iced tea which they refilled every now and then.

I get to order Liempo and it was good. The part I had was meaty and has less fat and bones. It was cooked well and it was really yummy. It also has a large serving that I couldn’t almost finish all.

By the way, you get a free soup on order. Since we came early, they serve us with it even if are not yet ordering. We also got refills for it. It was perfect for the cold weather that night. Their staff is accommodating and is very attentive in refilling our glasses with iced tea.

If this place isn’t far from our office, I bet that this will become one of our favorite places to hang out. I highly recommend this place for good food and great service.
