Relaxing at Ace Water Spa

Ace Water Spa

We wanted to relax and use our Belle de Jour Power Planner Coupon at Ace Water Spa so, off we go to Quezon City for another bonding with my friends.

We woke up early so that we can get there early to avoid the hassle of a lot of people. At around 6am, we went to the Lawton bus terminal in Alabang. Pat and Ate Neysa studied in Manila back in college so they know where we will go. When we were at Taft avenue, we readied because our stop is near (I forgot where it was exactly) . When we left the bus, we boarded an FX taxi going to Quezon City. We asked the driver to drop us off Sto. Domingo. From there we took a tricycle and they already know where ACE Water Spa is. It is located at Del Monte Avenue (near cor. Banaue St.) in Quezon City.

It was about 9am when we arrived and there were just a few guests there. We presented the coupon to avail of the buy one take one promo. We just divided the total price by 5 since we totaled of an odd number. After paying the entrance fee (which is P550 per person multiplied by 3 because of the discount coupon), they told us to go to the locker room to change. We were given keys for the locker and a swim cap for us to use. Cameras are not allowed inside so I only got the photos from their site.

We quickly changed to swimming attire and took a shower before proceeding to the pool area. It is a must to wear fitting swimwear there because of the high pressure of some of the water massages there.

Ace Water Spa Facilities

Ace Water Spa Facilities

As we got to the pool area, we tried the lazy pool first. There were a lot of children floating around there but it is still not crowded. We didn’t know the buttons to press to activate the water systems there at first but we got to learn them after a few massage. We tried the other massages one by one. Here is a list of the water massage they have there:

  1. Bubble Bed
Lay down comfortably on the designed bubble bed to fully feel the air and bubbles emitted on the surface through small holes as it slightly beats down your back, buttocks and feet.
  2. Bubble Pool
This facility effectively massages the temporal pressure points specifically on the back portion of the legs and hip area.
  3. Bubble Massage
This system has an effect of “feel good all over” after bathing as air combined with warm water comes out on holes at the floor surface that massages the body.
  4. Hydro-Acupuncture Bed
It produces the effects of acupuncture that allows a person to enjoy the pricking sensation through the use of high pressure warm water with air coming from the tiny holes within the bed surface.
  5. Rainfall Acupuncture
It is best enjoyed when lying face down wherein million raindrops with various intensities gently massage every part of the body.
  6. Eight Nozzle Shower
This shower is designed as an alternative way of cooling down after using the hot herbal pools, steam and sauna if you do not want to use the cold pool.
  7. Hydro-Buoyancy Massage
This facility uses a jet driven water from the bottom that creates suppleness to build a floating sensation especially when combined with breathing exercises.
  8. Buttocks Massage
While sitting comfortably, water pressure gushes out on the surface which hits and rubs down the buttocks.
  9. Jet Chair
In a sitting position, water pressure gushes out directly towards the meridian points of the body to eliminate stress and at the same time loosens up tight muscles.
  10. Jet Chair with Foot Massage
In a sitting position, water pressure gushes out directly towards the meridian points of the body while simultaneously receiving foot massage.
  11. Head & Shoulder Massage
The water coming from the equipment strongly hits the upper portion of the body.
  12. Water Falls
The surging water from the falls strikes in all parts of the body largely on the upper portion.
  13. Multi-point Massage
The surrounding wall towers with water nozzles injects variety of water pressure that massage different parts of the body.
  14. Chest Jet Massage
This System is best relished in a squatting position to fully feel the water pressure that strikes directly towards your chest.
  15. Waist Jet Massage
This system uses high and low water jet nozzles that produces strong water pressure.
  16. Upper Body Jet Massage
Rigid water pours down from the elevated jets rubbing down the upper parts of the body. This Massage system is NOT RECOMMENDED for those with osteoporosis.
  17. High Pressure Massage
This system uses high and low water jet nozzles that produces strong water pressure.

I particularly liked the Head and Shoulder massage and the Rainfall Acupuncture because it hits the muscles that are a bit sore after my Coron adventure.

We also tried the Hot Herbal Pools there:

  1. Mint Pool – has the temperature of 36 C.
  2. Jasmine Pool – will surely make you invigorated while relaxing your muscles. This pool is marked at 38 C.
  3. Lavender Pool – is the hottest pool with 40 C as its temperature, while the lavender scent keeps the skin soft and smooth.

After dipping there, you need to dip to the ice cold water to close your pores. It gives us goosebumps whenever we dip there.

There were also sauna and steam bath are but we only got to try the steam bath because the sauna was out of order.

There are also facilities for kids but adults are most welcome to try them too:

  1. Kids Pool – a specially designed pool ideal for small kids. Play hide and seek in the mushroom falls as you get hit by a big water gun.
  2. Floor Fountain – try “walking” on water as you enjoy the fountain.
  3. Bucket Splash – cool down in this exciting “pull the string” surprise!
  4. Lazy River – enjoy floating around in the current that goes the entire pool while bonding with the family.

We tried a few of them and enjoyed it even if it was for kids.

We didn’t get to stay there for 4 hours because there are already a lot of people coming. There were also a lot of children which adds up to the crowd. We went back to the lockers and took a shower. After we changed clothes, we returned the swim cap and they gave us a coupon for free soup.

We went to the Ace Coffee Lounge to claim the free soup. As there are no available seats, we settled at the veranda and they serve the soup there. The soup is bland and we just finished just for the sake of it. We decided to go to TriNoma to have our lunch there because we noticed that the food there was a bit pricey.

Overall, the place is good for family or barkada bonding. it is also nice to relax there but I recommend that guests should go there early morning or during weekdays because it is becoming popular and a lot of people already go there. We will surely go back there another time.
