Dinner at Mesa

Mesa

There was a newly opened restaurant at Mega Atrium, SM Megamall, just near Secret Recipes. The restaurant is called Mesa.

The place is spacious and was decorated with bamboos. As you enter the place, the hallway is lined with bamboo and running water. The sides of the restaurant had large cushioned seats and waiters serve to your needs. They serve Filipino cuisine and we are excited since we have free iced tea as their promo for that day.

We ordered Sisig in a Pouch, Baked Tahong with Cheese, Chicken Pork Adobo and Palabok.

Sisig in a Pouch

Sisig in a Pouch

We thought that Sisig in a Pouch was small and was just a bit bigger than the ordinary siomai but we were surprised that it was really big. One pouch is already good for one meal. One serving of this dish contains 3 big pouches. The sisig is wrapped in a bi wanton wrapper, tied with string onions and deep fried before serving. It was quite oily and the sisig was just so-so, but the whole dish is unique and it was yummy.

Baked Tahong with Cheese

Baked Tahong with Cheese

The Baked Tahong with Cheese is also yummy. The tahong was all covered with cheese and it has a crisp crust because of the cheese. It was yummy however the tahong was  a bit small.

Chicken Pork Adobo

The Chicken Pork Adobo was also yummy. I didn’t get to eat much of this.

Palabok

Palabok

The Palabok has a large serving and it was sulit for its price. The taste is yummy and it was good enough for all of us.

Overall, the food was yummy, but a bit pricey. Recommended if you’d dine in with your family or friends for special occasions.
