Cajun Red Rocks Dinner

Cajun Read Rocks

There is a new restaurant in SM Megamall and we decided to try it out. Cajun Red Rocks is located at Megastrip B of the SM Megamall near Mega Atrium and across Racks.

The place is big and some seats are locates outside the restaurant. They have bright lighting and decoration mostly cowboy themed. The waiters attend to your needs quickly and are courteous to the guests.

We ordered Pork Streak Jambalaya and Jack Daniel’s Chicken with Baked Mash Potato and Crispy Mojos on the side. We also ordered a Strawberry Bottomless Iced Tea and Long Island Iced Tea.

Strawberry Iced Tea and Long Island Iced Tea

The Iced Teas were refreshing. It was the first time I get to taste a Strawberry Iced Tea and it was good. The Long Island Iced Tea is a green mix of iced tea with some peach bits at the bottom. It is served in a large glass that is enough for the whole meal. It tasted good after you get used to the taste of the peaches mixed with the drink.

Pork Steak Jambalaya

The Pork Steak Jambalaya has a very large serving. The platter has a generous amount of pork strips in Cajun and cream with some vegetables on the side. It is also served with Jambalaya, New Orleans version of our Paella. It is on a hot plate and the meat and vegetables mixed in it tasted good. It is good on itself but with the pork strips, it is even better. You can really taste the Cajun on the pork in every bite. It reminds me of my brother’s chicken Cajun pasta, it tasted the same.

The Jack Daniel’s Chicken with Baked Mash Potatoes and Crispy Mojos was yummy. The chicken was shuddered with the sauce which is very yummy. It tasted good with the Jambalaya too. The Crispy Mojos were unique since sweet potatoes were used instead of the regular potatoes. It has a unique taste with a hint of sweetness. With the dip that comes with it, an orange mayo with herbs and spices, it has a very good flavor. The Baked Mashed Potatoes were also good and a nice partner with the chicken.

The food there was really yummy and we enjoyed our dinner there. There will surely be a next time since I wanted to taste the ribs that they serve there.
