Fun at LazerXtreme

It was Pasig Day and we don’t have any work that day so we decided to have some fun at LazerXtreme at the 4th level of Metro Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Bubuy, Irish, Noel, Cenon, Ai, Donald, Elouise, Joms and I met at Market! Market! in the afternoon to try out the famous laser tagging game. There were a few people there when we arrived but we decided to wait for Ai and Donald before we go inside.

After several hours of waiting, Ai finally came and we went inside. We signed a waiver form before paying P170 each for a 15 minute game. We needed at least 20 people to start a game so we went with other players waiting there. We also need to have a locker to put our stuff in. One locker is worth P200 that is refundable upon return of the key. We got ready to play after securing our stuff. We went in and watched the orientation in their briefing room.

LazerXtreme is a laser tagging game wherein each player wear a laser sensitive vest and is equipped with a laser gun to tag a player. The vest has different areas with corresponding points where you could tag your opponent. two on each chest which is worth 50 points each, on the stomach area which is 200 points per hit and at the back which is 100 points per hit. The Phasor, or the laser gun, could also be hit and corresponding points could be accumulated when you hit it. The vest would vibrate depending on where you were hit.

The game could be divided into teams and could be recognized by the color of the light in the vest. We were the green team and our opponents were the yellow team composed of the teens that just got there when Ai and Donald arrived, and the red team composed of kids.

There are several rooms in there. First is the Briefing room wherein instructions are given to the players. The next room contains the vests and gears you need. It is also here where the game facilitators could change your vest color depending on what team you want to be in. The last room is the game room which serves as the battle ground.

We entered the game room after we geared up for the game. The room is very dark  to make sure that the laser beams and light in the vests could be seen. We scattered around and started tagging. At first we were studying how the system works so that the other team were always tagging us. We got back after but the yellow team were so annoying. They just walk casually around tagging everyone. The thrill of the game was not with them. It was as if the only thing important to them was to tag. We wished that we were only playing with the kids because they were more fun to play with.

After the 15 minute game, the yellow team went outside happy of what they’ve achieved. They were really annoying and we didn’t enjoy the game because of them. We decided to rest for a while and make sure that those people were not going to play again. We decided to play again after they left.

It costs only P150 on our second game. This time, we played with another set of kids and two of the staff there. It was more fun this time since we know some techniques now and we are already enjoying ourselves. After the game, we got our score cards and even though I got low scores, it was alright since I enjoyed the game.

We were all drenched in sweat but it was alright. The whole thing was fun.

After we have rested, we decided to eat since it was already getting late. We were supposed to eat at The Old Spaghetti House but as we got there, it was already closed and seems like the place were reserved for an event. We just decided to eat at North Park.

We ordered 3 Kinds of Mushroom with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce, Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs, Lechon Macau, Boneless Honey Lemon Chicken, Fresh Prawn Dumpling Dry Braised Noodles, Manchurian Calamares, Steamed Tofu in Barbecue Sauce, Shark’s Fin Siomai and 3 Yang Chow Fried Rice for everyone. It was a feast that afternoon for all of us.

Lechon Macau, Yang Chow Fried Rice,

Lechon Macau, Yang Chow Fried Rice,Steamed Tofu in Barbecue Sauce, Manchurian Calamares, Boneless Honey Lemon Chicken, Shark's Fin Siomai, Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs, 3 Kinds of Mushroom with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce and Fresh Prawn Dumpling Dry Braised Noodles

The 3 Kinds Mushroom with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce was good. The Broccoli was not overcooked and there is still a crunch in it when you have a bite. It goes well with the different mushrooms in it plus the oyster sauce that gives it a rich flavor. The Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs was also good. The sauce was nice and the meat is tender. The only problem is you still need to remove the meat from the ribs because it doesn’t fall out of it easily. The Lecon Macau was also good. It like a lechon kawali with acahra and sauce that comes with it. The Boneless Honey Lemon Chicken is my favorite. The chicken tasted well with the lemon sauce. The sweetness and sourness of the sauce goes well with the breaded chicken. It was like a whole new flavor in you mouth as bite into it. Irish ordered the Fresh Prawn Dumpling Dry Braised Noodles. It was also good and the brought was served separately and it is up to you on how much you wanted to add into your noodles. The prawn dumpling was also good. You could really taste the prawn in it. The Manchurian Calamares comes with a vinegar dip. It was like the regular calamares that you could buy. But I like how it could easily be cut into pieces. It was not tough and easy to chew. The Steamed Tofu in Barbecue Sauce was just an ordinary tofu cut into small strips and served with the barbecue sauce. It tasted good with the barbecue sauce with it. All of these food goes well with the Yang Chow Fried Rice. It has a lot of vegetables and meat in it and you could eat it on its own already. I didn’t get to taste the Shark’s Fin Siomai since I was already full.

The feast was really filling and after a day of fun at LazerXtreme, we all deserve a sumptuous feast like that.

After eating, we all decided to go home. Some had other places to go to bu t I decided to go home since there is still work the next day. It was really fun day for all of us. It relieves the stress we are having in work. It was a fun Pasig Day for all of us!
