Joms asked me to have dinner at Aplaya Resto-Bar in Festival Supermall after work. He wanted to eat there again since we liked it the first time we chilled there.
It was the best restaurant (for us) there at the Greens & Grill Compound of Festival Supermall. The music is just right, not to loud. Cool breeze is blowing that reminds you of the beach. This makes us more excited for our Cebu trip. The food is good and affordable and the place is not crowded. You could really unwind and relax there.
This time, we ordered a bucket of booze with a free pulutan. We chose the Sizzling Bangus Sisig. We also ordered Lechon Kawali and rice for dinner.
The Bangus Sisig was good. It has lots of chili and some veggies with it. It was good when it was still hot. It was a bit salty though but it is good for pulutan with an ice cold beer. The serving was also big and is good enough for at least two bottles of beer if you’re sharing it with someone. The Lechon Kawali was also good. It was nice and crispy and it comes with a Mang Tomas dip. It reminds me of how my mom’s Lechon Kawali tastes like. Maybe they also do the same procedure as my mom.
After a while, we ordered a plate of Chicken Lollipops. They served it a bit late that our beers are already running out. They were still hot from the pan when it was finally served and comes with a sandwich spread mayonnaise dip. It was like it has a lot of breading on it that i had difficulty tasting the chicken meat. It was like half of the lollipop was breading and only a few meat.
We had lots of chit chats after we eat. We enjoyed the cool breeze blowing and each other’s company. I think we will once again go back to Aplaya to enjoy the ambiance and their other dishes.
